IT Project Manager Responsible for planning and managing multiple Information Technology projects of varying complexity from original concept through design and implementation with minimal supervision or direction. Serves as a key enabler of process improvement activities by leading people, process and technology integration. The Project Manager is responsible for adhering to department Standards of Performance relative to project execution and performance improvement.
Primary Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Responsible for managing multiple information technology projects including the design and implementation of system solutions.
Leads project teams by demonstrating the ability to effectively lead team members, facilitate team discussions, understand group dynamics, and consistently achieve outcomes through the team process. Develops and manages detailed project work plans including the definition of key activities and tasks, the allocation of appropriate resources, the delegation of activities to project team members, and the execution of activities and tasks.
Provides verbal and written project status reports to internal and external leadership.
Proactively identifies and manages project issues and risks and escalates when appropriate.
Develops and maintains project budgets from initiation through completion of project.
Translates business objectives to information technology requirements in order to prioritize, initiate, and structure business process redesign and information technology projects to achieve desired outcomes.
Provides content and process knowledge and technical and analytical guidance for project teams.
Experience with business and information technology planning.
Experience leading Information Technology projects.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Nursing or other closely related field, OR at least three years of experience managing projects requiring information technology.
MS Project or Jira experience preferred
Excellent communication skills at all levels.
Project Management Certification.
Experience with Healthcare applications and processes.
