The Senior Project Manager, Alliance Management, assists with the management of all department project priorities, schedules, and project resources to meet budget and quality goals. Manage overall department budget through close communication with the functional areas and communicate to finance and VP. Work as part of a cross-functional team to ensure quality and timely delivery for all department projects. Build/drive complicated inter-department relationships and teamwork by actively supporting major (complex) projects and/or several smaller related projects. Evaluate project plans on a routine basis to identify budget, resource, and schedule conflicts and communicate to management. Challenge and make specific project recommendations to team to achieve best possible budget, timeline and resource utilization. Identify issues impacting cross functional team alignment, and recommend issue resolutions. Build/drive complicated inter-department relationships and teamwork. It is anticipated that the Senior Project Manager will build on the experience gained from this role to assume full responsibility for leading and directing all alliance related activities in support of our alliance programs.
Key Responsibilities Include :
Communications & Manager support
Responsible for communicating project and program information to VP
Gather monthly and quarterly highlights from team and communicate to VP and team
Facilitate and promote sharing of best practices. Drive benchmarking/sharing best practices.
Establish and maintain highly confidential files/records and prepare reports and presentations
Advise individuals of the VP’s views on policies and procedures while using appropriate judgment and discretion.
Knowledgeable of corporate policy and capable to communicate the VP’s intent to managers.
Represents the VP by attending select meetings in the VP's absence; then communicating minutes, questions and action items from the meeting to the VP
Manage the department Sharepoint-portal for global access of critical documents required to support project and affiliate regional and affiliate advocacy plans
Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating a cross functional portfolio of projects /activities to support Alliance Management strategy development, review, approval and execution with concrete accountability and measureable results
In collaboration with the core functions, maintain a project dashboard report ensuring clear deliverables, status, and accountability (even with external groups).
Communicate project information to stakeholders, design templates, create presentations, review and edit project deliverables and maintain a project information repository.
Communicate process, project timelines and work with team members to route projects for approval
Responsible for working with finance and managing the budget for projects
Review key decisions impacting budget/timelines with management.
Manage group budget and work with VP to determine and manage resources as required
Manage overall project budgets through close communication with all stakeholders.
Keep annual calendar for all meetings with key stakeholders and cross-functional leaders
Responsible for assisting with monthly meetings and tactical planning meetings, setting agendas and recording action items and communicating messages to team members.
Role accountabilities will include:

Reporting directly to top management and distributing information throughout the organization
Set agendas and conduct milestone meetings for ongoing projects
Reviews key decisions impacting budget/timelines with management
Negotiates and/or approves P.O., invoices, ACR with third party
Bachelors degree required, Master's or PhD preferred, or relevant post graduate experience
7-10+ years experience, with 2+ years in a Project Management (or similar) role
Ability to manage large projects and budgets
Ability to manage large team events.
