Responsible for leading data remediation and quality improvement initiatives working closely with the data stewards, business leaders and technical teams within all lines of businesses and sectors.

n

Responsible for developing a deeper understanding of business processes are implemented within the bank and ability to recommend changes to process hence technical changes where required so data is originated correctly once.

n

Major Duties

n

• Ability to manage data remediation and quality improvement projects

n

• Assess, manage and outline strategy and approach that reduce data redundancy and increases the consistency / confidence of data used for decision making within MDM and the authentic sources of data

n

• Ability to perform thorough data analysis of authentic sources of data, MDM and perform gap analysis.

n

• Ability to facilitate requirement meetings with business stakeholders and documents the data quality gaps.

n

• Implement data management standards, processes and controls and content for the creation and maintenance of common data dictionary.

n

• Participates in periodic reviews to ensure continued compliance with the data governance policies (includes compliance assessments, monitoring and control testing).

n

• Resolves conflicting priorities among strategic programs to ensure that strategic process improvements are being implemented.

n

• Leverages data quality and profiling tools to perform analysis for data remediation projects

n

• Documents current state and future state processes

n

• Works with data custodians and technology stakeholders to develop estimates for technical changes that are recommended and collaborates to outline a plan for implementation.

n

• Facilitates meetings/workshops with clear objectives to drive business/technology process changes

n

• Responsible for direct interaction with different committees and/or management to outline recommended solutions and thinking.

n

A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required / preferred.

n

Knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, and Enterprise Data Management concepts.

n

Understand and be capable of effectively communicating the role of Data Governance and Remediation to both business and technical communities.

n

Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

n

In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is required in Financial Services (Asset Management, Asset Servicing and Wealth Management). Highly flexible and adaptable to change.

n

IBM info sphere Unified governance expertise is vital to this role.
