Parking Enforcement Shift Supervisor- West Hollywood, CA West Hollywood, CA, US
Job Description Shift Supervisors are the leaders within the organizational unit and are instrumental in the guidance of their team members. Supervisors are the link between the Project Manager and the individual officers, ensuring the vision of the project manager is successfully implemented.
Success is not based upon a supervisor’s personal production, but rather upon the performance of his subordinates as a well-integrated functioning unit.
Supervisors are constantly evaluating their teams for ways to improve, working closely with the unit’s Data Analyst to identify trends in performance and motivate the team members. They continually provide constructive feedback, coaching officers on their weaknesses and utilizing their strengths. Supervisors are expected to exercise individual judgment, making autonomous decisions that are in alignment with the unit’s vision, and consults with management when needed. Occasionally supervisors must counsel employees.
1.Understands and promotes corporate policies and measures
Sets the tone of the unit and leads by example
Provides direction and guidance among the team
Coaches employees with technique and standards
Communicates critical information to the staff
Provides feedback to the project’s manager regarding staff needs, concerns and ideas
Creates a positive and supportive environment
Conducts daily briefings and deploys officers according to City requests and management expectations
Performs vehicle and equipment inspections, checking out and in necessary tools to complete assignments; ticket writers, printers, vehicle keys, radios, cameras, etc.
Responds to customer complaints in the field
Prepares reports and surveys
Other duties as assigned by management
Required Skills High School degree or equivalent is required. 2-3 years of parking enforcement experience preferred. Valid California Driver’s License must be maintained throughout employment.

Department The Transportation & Infrastructure business unit has four main business streams - surface transportation, aviation, fleet maintenance and infrastructure services, with over 1000 personnel providing these services in the federal, state and local markets. Our transportation surface and infrastructure business includes traffic control centers, intelligent system specification, deployment and maintenance, traveler information systems, back office capabilities, program management, congestion management and general operations. Our business with state and local governments include parking management systems and technicality upgrades and parking enforcement. In addition we provide fleet maintenance services to a number of public utilities and municipal authorities.
