Kforce has a client that is seeking a .NET Developer in Chicago, Illinois (IL).Essential Duties:

  • Analyze, design, and develop quality middle/backend applications which meet the needs of Asset Management

  • Bring technological expertise and new ideas to an existing team where innovation is encouraged and rewarded

  • Design / re-engineer data feeds and risk reporting applications to function at best efficiency

  • Develop collaborative and leadership skills to the development process and learn new technology along the way

  • Explore / implement improved solutions to fundamental issues (e.g. High efficiency processing, Big Data, etc.)

  • Work in an Agile environment to leverage all contributions of various team members

Team Dynamic:

  • You'll be working as a member of the GRS Development Team in support of the Global Risk Management System (GRS), a robust multi-asset portfolio risk analysis tool

  • We work closely with the Investment Risk Solutions team - a team of specialized Quantitative Risk Modelers based in Zurich who develop and maintain the mathematical risk models upon which GRS is based

  • We develop and maintain a suite of applications and databases which interface with the MATLAB risk models and provide the necessary Risk Analysis functionality needed by Portfolio and Risk Managers firm-wide; The team is based in Chicago

  • 5 Years advanced Database design in MSSQL Server / TSQL

  • 5 Years .Net Development experience (e.g. C#, VB, JavaScript, PowerShell, Perl)

  • 3 Years SSIS and SSRS experience

  • Experience with MS TeamCity a plus

  • Experience working with MATLAB a plus

  • Good verifiable experience of Agile Scrum / Kanban framework

  • Architectural Design Skills

  • Knowledge of WebAPI / RESTFul services

  • Knowledge of Rally, JIRA, SVN, GitHub

  • Basic financial know-how (e.g. stock, bonds, long / short positions, options)

  • Statistical / mathematical knowledge (normal distribution, Monte Carlo, etc.)
