Responsible for managing the activities of the accounts payable and payroll and activities. Responsible for developing procedures for and supervising the preparation, documentation and disbursement of all payroll checks and payroll taxes. Responsible for supervising and developing systems for the accounts payable function, including such activities as the timely payment of vendor invoices and expense vouchers, and the maintenance of accurate records and control reports.

Principal Responsibilitiesn



+ Interviews, hires, supervises, schedules, assigns work to and evaluates the performance of assigned clerical staff.

+ When necessary disciplines and terminates assigned staff.

+ Analyzes the flow of administrative and other assigned non-clerical work for department/operating group by established priorities, assigning and distributing work load and monitoring performance to ensure the efficient completion of assigned tasks and projects.

+ Develops, reviews and updates department/operating group policies relevant to assigned responsibilities.

+ Interprets and directs staff to appropriate policy and procedural resources..

+ Establishes departmental procedures for monthly workflow, bi-weekly payroll, preparation for auditors and handling of cash receipts and cash disbursements.

+ Perform all other duties that may be assigned in the best interest of SRAlab.

Reporting Relationshipsn



+ Reports to the Controller.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requiredn



+ Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or related field required.

+ 3-5 years progressively more responsible related experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.

+ Experience utilizing accounts payable and payroll software at an advanced level.

+ Previous Meditech experience desired.

+ Knowledge of all Federal, State, & FICA payroll laws as applicable payroll policies and procedures as well as forms and reports.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary to interact on a daily basis with internal/external customer and ability to direct staff.

Working Conditionsn


1. Normal office environment with little or no exposure to dust or extreme temperature.
