*GENERAL SUMMARY & OVERALL CHALLENGES * The Field Marketing Manager is a field based role, responsible for building and executing field based marketing programs with primary focus on Tier 1 academic institutions. This will be accomplished through engagement of field selling teams to proactively drive events that support funnel growth such as: lunch and learns, workshops, seminars and road shows.

From these engagements the FMM will develop relationships with Leica customers to build a robust contacts list of partners we will leverage to create sales collateral, present at seminars / webinars and other speaking engagements.

This newly created role will be the central-point of coordination between sales, marketing, and applications teams in identifying / developing customer driven educational content and for effectively disseminating the key differentiating messages for Leica products to internal and external customers.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION Professional Experience •3 -5 years’ experience in field sales or marketing, with demonstrated success in organizing customer facing events. Life Science experience is required. •Experience in educational marketing communication / campaign and message development and execution


Education •B.S. preferable in Biology •MS degree in a science or engineering field or equivalent •MBA a plus

Travel(required estimated % of time) •50% travel is required.
