Shire Senior Analyst - Contracts Analytics in Bannockburn, Illinois
The Senior Analyst - Contracts Analytics is a strong functional lead for the Market Access organization supporting customer incentives and sales analytics. The position is responsible for the Market Access commercial incentives and the compliance requirements needed to execute those incentives. The senior analyst will operate in cross-functional teams with finance, legal and government pricing teams to ensure alignment. The senior analyst will act as a guide for all field sales teams he/she works with to ensure all incentive guidelines are adhered to and program requirements are met in order to earn incentives.
Lead reporting and payment processes for all US commercial incentives and administrative fees for Specialty Pharmacy Providers (SPP’s), Biological Distributors and/or GPOs.
Verify and confirm incentive payments, perform trend analysis on incentive programs and analyze program’s effectiveness by customer with division management.
Partner with finance to resolve all incentive disputes
Create ad hoc analysis for field sales teams for customer purchase pattern history – commercial, 340B or both
Create ad hoc compliance reporting showing customer purchase pattern information for the institutional sales teams
Provide support to National Accounts sales team as it relates to contract terms & conditions and customer progress toward volume commitments.
Assist Contracts with incentive program language and contract language
Review incentive business exceptions from initial request through approval and to resulting contract amendment or notification
Partner with division finance by reporting inventory for both SPP and Biological Distributor channels by using sales redistribution data to calculate the average days inventory on hand (DIOH) by product for each SPP and BD customer.
Provide new hire training for various systems – Model N and SAP
Provide new hire training on channel contracting strategies and processes
Act as subject matter expert in channels supported and provide cross-functional training on contract incentive operations and contract language interpretation
Lead various projects in area(s) of expertise with cross-functional groups resulting in department efficiencies or improved data accuracy
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
3-5 years’ experience in a similar role is required
Prior experience working on pharmaceutical sales or contracting is preferred
Relevant industry experience
