The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for developing and executing formal manual and automated test cases, to ensure the delivery of quality software application modifications. Owns the testing of web and mobile applications following Agile methodology. Responsible for working with the Management and Team Members to establish, implement and/or refine quality assurance and compliance processes and plans for the IT organization.


  • Responsible for test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation and test execution. Testing may include:

  • Functional Testing

  • Defect Testing

  • Regression Testing

  • Integration Testing

  • Smoke Testing

  • Load Testing

  • Performance Testing

  • Owns ongoing maintenance of manual and automated test cases and test bed

  • Provides test case management for test scenarios, test cases, test results, evidence and traceability

  • Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status

  • Shares knowledge inside and outside the Team

  • Collects and analyzes data for software process evaluation and improvements, and works with the Business Analyst and/ Business Support Analyst to integrate them into business processes to address the needs of the business

  • Delivers quality process and policy training to technical staff and acts as an internal quality consultant to ensure quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed

  • Makes recommendations and carries out improvements to the software development lifecycle process as it relates to quality assurance

  • Maintains currency, accuracy and relevance of information within areas of responsibility. This includes reporting known errors or inconsistencies to Team Leads and/or Management

  • Diligently complies with and consistency enforces Information Security and Confidentiality policies and procedures.

  • Performs demonstrations of the latest release items

  • Interacts with Production Support team to ensure preparedness


  • 4+ years’ of systems development, testing, documentation and business experience in agile lifecycle development and quality management methodologies

  • 1+ year experience with web test automation tools (e.g. Selenium, JS with Protractor), basic knowledge in REST API automation (e.g. Soap UI, JMeter)

  • Prior experience working on projects with moderate to high complexity within one or more development environments

  • Prior experience working on multiple programs/systems related to order management

  • Familiarity in the use of JIRA ticketing systems

  • Familiarity with TestRail

  • Familiarity with Atlassian Suite

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Visio

  • Works with minimal supervision

  • Strong verbal and written communication and human relations skills
