Responsibilities Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, the Manager of Leadership Annual Giving provides oversight for the Wheaton Associates and Wheaton Fund Champions programs, overseeing communications with leadership annual fund donors (those giving $1,000 or more annually) and working to identify prospects and cultivate major gifts to the Wheaton Fund. Duties 1. Plan and implement leadership annual giving strategies, working to grow the Wheaton Associates and Wheaton Fund Champions programs and develop additional membership tiers with corresponding benefits. 2. Ensure that leadership annual fund donors are properly recognized and thanked, supervising student note-writing efforts when necessary. 3. Oversee communication with leadership annual fund donors, including monthly acknowledgment letters, the quarterly President's Memorandum, and responses to telephone, mail, and email inquiries. Ensure accurate Banner database entry of activity. 4. Call leadership annual fund donors at essential times throughout the year to cultivate and solicit their continued support at the level of $1,000 or more annually. 5. Identify and solicit prospects for first-time and upgraded leadership Wheaton Fund gifts. 6. Work to ensure that each Wheaton Fund Champion is being cultivated, stewarded, and solicited strategically, cooperating with the Development team as necessary. 7. Provide major gift fundraising officers with accurate and strategic prospect information to inform their fundraising efforts for the Wheaton Fund. 8. Provide primary oversight for the Student Ambassadors program, recruiting, training, and leading a team of students to thank donors, speak at events, and otherwise represent Wheaton College to leadership annual fund donors and to educate Wheaton students about the Wheaton Fund. 9. Assist in the planning and execution of leadership annual giving events, including but not limited to Wheaton Associates breakfasts and the Christmas Festival reception. 10. Review Wheaton Associates' giving statuses regularly to ensure that membership records are current and accurate and that an up-to-date list of Wheaton Associates members is maintained in the Banner database. 11. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree required. 2. Previous work experience in educational fundraising strongly preferred. 3. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with high attention to detail and a professional demeanor. 4. Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills. 5. Team player able to collaborate with people internal and external to the organization. 6. Computer competencies and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
