The Judge Group is seeking an Oracle Applications Database Administrator for a major furniture manufacturing company in Indiana. The Administrator’s purpose is to create, install, observe, and maintain non-production and production databases and applications while ensuring the highest levels of data availability and system performance. The qualified individual is responsible for ensuring the availability and integrity of databases and applications and their software. He or she will report directly to the Director of ERP.

Responsibilities
• Supports all database administration including (installation, configuration, capacity planning, upgrades, performance tuning, recovery and backup
• Support Oracle EBS 12 instances, Fusion Middleware and Oracle database 11g
• Supports and environment with high availability using Oracle RAC, RMAN, Data Guard, 11g Grid, Fusion Middleware, Parallel Concurrent Processing, OEM, ASM, Diagnostics, Configuration, Tuning, and Provisioning Pack
• Evaluates physical data models, benchmarks, statistics, coordinating data restraints regarding security and actively supports test plans/environments
• Optimizes database and application by performance tuning, supportability and query optimization
• Works alongside ERP & IT project team members
• Communicates regularly with technical, operation and applications staff to ensure database and application security and integrity
• Performs backups periodically, and performs replicating from source to target instances
• Assigns access privileges and permissions and created user accounts
• Builds database tables, scheme, indexes, permissions and procedures
• Assists with the development of scripts for task automation
• Heads capacity planning
• Works with Oracle Support Staff, Offshore and Contractual Resources for technical support.
• Supports the RICEW objects migration
• Manages and evaluates patch requests from development and functional teams thru the whole landscape

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree (IT, Engineering or related)
• 5+ years’ experience as EBS Oracle Applications DBA
• 3+ years’ experience EBS DB Performance and tuning experience
• Oracle Database 11i
• Oracle E-Business (R12 preferred)
• Proficiency in recovery and backup procedures
• Oracle Applications technology stack (installation, architecture, maintenance, configuration, cloning and patching procedures
• Oracle certification in Oracle database or EBS preferred
• Implementation of Oracle EBS, Oracle Transportation Management, Oracle SOA Suite, Business Intelligence modules (OBIEE) highly preferred
• Six Sigma/Continuous improvement preferred
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred
