The Product Support & Logistics Division currently has an opening for a General Manager (GM), Network Solutions & Support. As the GM of Network Solutions & Support at Caterpillar, you will be responsible to develop and execute Caterpillar's supply chain, parts distribution network and integrated supply chain system to meet parts orders globally. Reporting to this global manager position are general managers, global service parts management manager, global network solution manager, inventory and logistics/records accuracy management manager, project managers, and an administrative assistant.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
*Accountable for development and execution of the overall strategy in the Caterpillar Parts Distribution Network area, impacting the entire enterprise
*Provide focus on network solutions and special projects for Caterpillar, our Dealers, and the portfolio of Caterpillar brands
*Direct accountability to develop the strategy and ensure successful alignment of distribution facilities, develop the required business case, and execute the strategy to meet the financial commitments
*Responsible for overall organization and management of distribution network needs
*Accountable for record accuracy management which includes inventory validation and controls, claims and returns processes, and advanced shipping notice accuracy and conformance
*Accountable for the global development and deployment of the integrated supply chain system (SAP based Service Parts Management - SPM), which operates all business and operational processes within the end-to-end Parts Distribution network
*Bachelor's degree or above
*15+ years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, operations, strategic planning, supply chain and/or parts distribution
*5+ years of experience as a leader of leaders managing a large, diverse team

*Proven ability as a leader of leaders and ability to deliver significant business unit results with a focus on culture
*Broad collaboration across functional groups, inside and outside of the enterprise
*Ability to work with and influence managers within the enterprise and dealer network
*Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions
*Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures including our distribution divisions and worldwide dealer network
*Strong analytical skills
*Strategic thinker with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
*Ability to be agile and flexible
*Ability to think both strategically and to translate concepts into results
This position will require 25% travel
