This job was posted by https://illinoisjoblink.illinois.gov : For more information, please see: https://illinoisjoblink.illinois.gov/ada/r/jobs/5094510 The Manufacturing Associate position will be responsible for ensuring quality standards are achieved by inspecting finished goods in accordance with the quality plan as directed by the quality system. Identifies quality issues and proactively works on resolutions for failed inspections. Collaborates with the Order fulfillment team, Production team, internal business partners including CFO, technical designers, Retail Industrial Designers and vendors to identify and problem solve issues causing a failed inspection. Records results in facility database and manages the disposition process. Knowledgable in manufacturing process and part schematics.
Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in visual standards, print and processes. Candidates will be expected to apply knowledge and judgement when inspecting finished goods, demonstrate knowledge about product specifications and update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, train operators and order fillers on quality standards as needed, and coordinate disposition processes by proactively working on problem resolution and alternative solutions to fix quality issues.
The candidate will also be responsible for consulting with the process teams on failed inspections and making recommendations regarding dispositions and reconciling quality issues for finished goods including creating and updating information regarding failed inspections. Candidates must be able to understand and follow inspection SOPs and inspect/approve finished products by confirming specifications and conducting visual inspections; records the results in internal databases.
Collaborates with the Supply Chain Organization to make recommendations and streamline the inspection process. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with peers and leaders and demonstrate effective problem solving skills in a team environment. This position requires strong communication and decision making skills.
Demonstrates flexibility by performing a variety of tasks defined by business need and the ability to learn new skills. Utilizes LEAN principals to effectively collaborate on problem solving. Adhere to safety guidelines and handling techniques. Efficiently and safely operates machinery and power industrial vehicles between two or more departments.
Power Industrial Vehicle certification will be required within 90 days of hire.
This position is for second shift and the incumbent may need to work overtime in order to meet workload demands.

High School diploma or GED, equivelant, or higher
Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 20 pounds constantly, up to 50 pounds frequently and lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
At least 1 year of work experience, which required the ability to read prints, measuring tapes and calipers
Math matical skills to read, understand, and calculate decimals
Previous experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment

This position is located in Metamora, Illinois. Relocation is not provided.
