Overview of the second shift Manufacturing Associate position:
The Manufacturing Associate position will be responsible for operating production equipment including vacuum forming equipment, robotic trimming and welding equipment. Additional tasks may include picking freight and loading trailers for shipment. This position may fulfill orders in the Pick and Pack area.
The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for maintaining a 6-S environment, adhering to good safety practices and demonstrating the ability to understand and follow established standard operating & job safety procedures. Positively participates in performance dialogues and other team problem-solving activities.
Identifies potential problems and shows willingness to proactively work on problem resolution and alternative solutions to traditional methods of operation. Demonstrates leadership amongst the team.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong personal initiative, work ethic and maintain positive peer relationships. Key attributes include a positive attitude, excellent attendance and self-motivation. The candidate is expected to adhere to quality standards, procedures and initiate adjustments as needed to correct product and/or packaging defects. Routine tasks include preparing and maintaining necessary paperwork and performing required preventive maintenance.
This position requires flexibility; the incumbent may need to work overtime and potentially flex to 3rd shift based on workload demands.
Moderate mechanical abilities are necessary but training is obtained on the job.
Power Industrial Vehicle certification may be required within 90 days of hire.

This position is located in Metamora, Illinois. Relocation is not provided.
