Uses continuous improvement techniques and analytical skills to enhance the Enterprise Systems Intake and Planning processes. Creates and delivers supporting documentation and materials to help improve the operational effectiveness of the Planning and Intake process. Will engage in challenging discussions on complex operational topics, helping identify key messages in order to integrate them into materials that are easily understood and used by others


n Principal Duties & Responsibilities:


• Identify, design, develop and/or deploy experiments to improve the long range, annual planning, and execution planning processes.

+ Create Process Flow Diagrams, RACI matrixes and Interaction Models as needed to evaluate existing processes or to document changes in process.

+ Support the introduction and implementation of process changes across the Enterprise Systems organization using change management techniques such as key stakeholder analysis, as-is/to-be state analysis, and deployment readiness assessments.

+ Apply Continuous Improvement methodology to identify and solve problems to improve efficiency, enhance quality or reduce cost using tools such as SIPOC, A3 and 5 Why's.

+ Work as a catalyst for effective implementation of corrective and preventative actions as they relate to planning processes, artifacts and ceremonies.

+ Partner with cross functional teams to identify improvement opportunities to drive high quality and efficient processes.

+ Implement and maintain process controls through quality planning techniques such as Value Stream Mapping and Risk Assessment

+ Act as an internal consultant and bold problem solver to lead retrospective analysis on issues.

+ Builds relationships across multiple Business Units seeking to understand local planning processes.


n Preferred Education & Experience: n


Must Have Experience

+ 5-7 yrs. experience using Agile Product Management techniques and processes in a large organization to create Product Roadmaps, Technology Roadmaps, and/or an IT Product Portfolio. SAFe and/or Scrum Alliance Certification preferred.

+ 5-7 yrs. experience using Lean/Agile techniques to shape an idea from a concept to the realization of business value. Includes experience with SAFe, Opportunity Canvas, Story/PI Grooming, Estimation, Persona Use Cases, Story Mapping, Minimum Marketable Feature (MMF). SAFe and/or Scrum Alliance Certification preferred.

+ 3-5 yrs. experience using Continuous Improvement tools and techniques to lead/facilitate process improvement discussions with multiple levels of the organization. Includes experience with A3, 5 Whys, SIPOC, ICE Rank, etc.

+ 3-5 yrs. experience using MS Powerpoint, MS Visio, MS Excel, MS Access, SharePoint. Must be creative and possess the skills to leverage advanced features of the software to create documentation, templates and process flows to support the intake and planning processes.

+ Multiple years' experience in a large IT organization with ITIL process and standards in the intake and planning processes. (Demand Mgmt, Service Mgmt. Financial Mgmt., Capacity Mgmt.)

+ Multiple years' experience in a large IT organization using tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow (PPM, ITFM, ITSM) within the context of intake and planning processes.

nPreferred Experiencen

+ Experience using and coaching others in the use of multiple work prioritization techniques- WSJF-Weighted Shortest Job First, MOSCOW (Must, Should, Could, Won't), others.

+ Experience using and coaching others in the use of Portfolio Funding Models (Cost Center/Business Unit, Workstream, C pEx./OpEx., DCF)

+ Experience working within an Industry Standard SDLC, and governance of the SDLC as it relates to the intake and planning processes

+ Experience with UML or other process modeling techniques.
