CSL Behring Senior Controls Engineer in KANKAKEE, Illinois
Technically competent process controls engineer who independently develops and implements solutions to process control systems in a cGMP environment. Designs and evaluates different automation strategy for existing and new equipment, systems, critical computers, facilities and utilities.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Independently performs and implements projects which have a direct impact on company profitability.
Successfully executes multiple projects in a cGMP environment and understands regulatory and quality assurance requirements.
Recognized authority in one or more areas of programming languages and platforms such as Modicon, Allen Bradley (RS Logix), GE iFix and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
Develop a general understanding of the plant processes and products.
Understands electrical power and distribution systems, NEC codes, electrical installations and electrical panel building.
Develops innovative design solutions to complex problems.
Develops a network of internal and external contacts appropriate to the job.
Assists the department in developing policies, programs, SOPs, and Quality standards to meet current industry, corporate Quality, and external Regulatory requirements.
Assist in the development of company standards to ensure consistency in project execution and qualification of equipment and systems.
Maintains close contact with QA and Manufacturing groups to assure effective communication on process/facility problems and issues related to process controls.
Education: BS Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Experience: 5+ years in pharma or process related in a regulated environment. Hands-on experience in one or more of the following platforms: Modicon, Allen Bradley (ControlLogix), Factory Talk View and GE Proficy iFix. Preferred programming includes high level S88 batch process controls programming. Familiarity with electrical power and distribution systems, control panel wiring, DeviceNet and Ethernet Networks preferred.
