Job Responsibilities

Job Title: Front End / JavaScript Developer

Location: Fort Wayne, IN

Duties & Responsibilities:

JavaScript/JQuery (required):

  • Experience using typical JavaScript/jQuery concepts in practice: Object-oriented JavaScript, JavaScript/JQuery AJAX, practice consuming JSON/XML web services and advice constructing request/response formats, jQuery Promises, JavaScript/JQuery Events, closures/prototypical inheritance.

  • using 3rd-Party jQuery plugins (https://learn.jquery.com/plugins/),

  • Creating custom jQuery plugins and/or jQuery stateful widgets, (https://learn.jquery.com/plugins/stateful-plugins-with-widget-factory/)

  • Deep experience with AngularJS, which includes experience plan and build from scratch an entire Single Page Application

  • creating custom directives

  • view based routing

  • data persistence between views

  • interacting with RESTful web services.

  • Deep experiencing setting up front-end build tools (NodeJS, NPM-based):

  • Task runner (grunt, gulp, or similar) for optimization [CSS and JS concat/minify/uglify/

  • CSS/JS dependency management (Bower)

  • Experience integrating web development with at least one large enterprise products (i.e. CRM, WCM/CMS, etc.).

Front-end Web Debugging

Browsers:

  • Desktop Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, IE8, IE9, IE10, IE11

  • Mobile Browsers: Mobile Safari, Mobile Chrome

Dev Tools:

  • JavaScript Console and Debugger

  • Network Request Analysis

  • CSS/HTML Element tracing

  • Multiple browser testing in VMs (i.e. Modern.ie).
