Regional Service Sales Manager – West Region – USA

Business Development (70%) Develop, lead and manage the CTS (Service, parts and products) business in territory within the West Region, USA including establishing goals for CTS product sales in accordance with Atlas Copco standards including service plan development and one to one growth. Develop customer satisfaction by understanding the needs and expectations of our customers. Prepare related business development reports and conduct/present relevant market analysis. Control expenses, while maximizing Company assets, time, skills, and profit levels. Review business development strategies on a regular basis and recommend modifications and enhancements that will secure sales goals in line with growth targets. Represent the Company at trade shows and conferences. Manage commercial terms and conditions so that Company s interests are protected. Travel as necessary to achieve the objectives of this position. Maintain effective lines of communication with the National Vice President, CTS Marketing, National Vice President of Operations, West Region Operations Manager as well as the West Region Prime Equipment Regional Sales Managers. Enhance division and Company reputation and brand image by consistently working to implement the Company s core values of commitment, interaction, and innovation.

People Management (10%) Define the mission for the CTS SSM team, parts sales managers and inside service sales support team as they relate to the West Region targets. Enhance the professional image for all colleagues at all times through personal actions and initiatives. Achieve the results through management, monitoring and accountability of the team.

Distributor Development 10% Work with West Region Prime Regional Sales Managers to grow existing Platinum, Gold & Silver distributors. Work directly with Distributors to achieve assigned targets. Work to identify new opportunities and Distributors in the West Region

Personal Development (5%) – Update job knowledge (for both products and sales/marketing strategies and skills) by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; networking; and participating in professional organizations.

Reporting (5%) – Prepare internal reports and presentations as assigned relative to activity, lost orders, closings, follow-up, actions, strategies and performance against budget. Report on special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity, including recommendations for product, service, pricing changes and evaluation of competitive developments.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience requirements

5 years of relevant industrial sales experience, including territory management, preferably in the compressed air industry.


Must be a proven leader. Must be self-directed and have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills. Must have proven business analysis skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Travel required. Must have a valid driver s license.

Educational requirements

Four year degree in business or marketing or equivalent experience. Advanced degree is a plus.
