DeVry Education Group Faculty Resources Specialist in Downers Grove, Illinois
The primary purpose of this position is supporting the Academic Affairs team by analyzing course qualifications, faculty reviews and metrics to assign faculty to appropriate courses. Position is responsible for calculating faculty pay based on contracts, courses and rate of pay for over 3,000 faculty members.
Solely responsible for the selection of which instructor will be assigned to which class with little guidance from manager
Creates the necessary number of course sections based on projected enrollment numbers
Assign instructors to courses by utilizing scheduling guidelines and priority levels
Responsible for the monitoring of student enrollments as the sessions approaches and independently opening up additional class section as necessary, based on the number of students enrolled. If enrollment spikes will need to procure additional teaching resources working in last minute time constraint
Manages faculty communication by contacting the faculty member and informing them of their class schedule and explaining the rationale of why they were chosen and answering any questions the faculty member may have
Issue contracts, monitor contract acceptance, and process faculty payments.
Responsible for collecting the contracts, reviewing them and then processing payments as scheduled
Create graduate and undergraduate course schedules using the Annual Course Offering and enrollment projections
Create and update faculty compensation charts
Tracks levels of adjuncts and courses to calculate appropriate pay
Work with Faculty and Programs team to monitor faculty depth and build recruiting needs list.
Analyzes courses and current faculty to project staffing needs for future sessions and communicates needs for recruitment
Track instructor workload to ensure they stay within credit hour limitations for compliance reasons
Completes other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3 to 5 years of customer service experience required.
Strong analytical skills.
Knowledge of academic environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in fast paced environment.
