While you're working as a Teller in our Columbia, IL branch which also serves communities in Millstadt, Dupo, Cahokia, and other surrounding areas, you should be prepared for rewarding challenges and fast paced interaction with our clients. Your responsibilities will include:
Daily processing of Teller/monetary transactions for our individual and commercial clients; speed and accuracy are key to you being successful
Reach/exceed personal sales goals by referring bank products and services to clients
Performing daily branch operational Teller balancing procedures
Referral of large withdrawals and account closures to sales staff for retention efforts
Proactively seeking out and maintaining a well-developed knowledge of bank products and services
Initiating and identifying sales opportunities to ensure personal and branch goals are met/exceeded
You may participate in outbound calling, sales events and activities
We are seeking talented individuals with the following qualifications:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or currently attaining high school diploma working through a co-op program
A minimum of six months previous retail cash handling experience
A minimum of one year entry level retail sales/product referral education and/or experience strongly preferred
Previous banking experience, a real plus
Competent math skills
Developed client service skills, including written and verbal communication
You should be "high-energy" and enjoy thinking outside of the box
Ability to use a PC and alpha/numeric keyboard
For this role, you should be motivated, upbeat, prepared to grow in knowledge, and eager to meet and service our clients
Your available schedule for this role should be flexible; the schedule will include Saturdays
