The Systems Administrator role at kCura focuses on the infrastructure, applications, and tools used by the Product Development department. As a member of the IT-DevOps team, the role assists in the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of our expanding SDLC infrastructure. The role will provide support to all Development teams.

Work closely with the Development teams to better understand the

development processes and workflows

Provide operational support to Development teams.

Analyze infrastructure, applications, and tools used by Development

teams and recommend changes to improve processes and performance

Assist in forecasting future IT infrastructure needs by knowing past and

current infrastructure demand and knowing how Development teams' roadmaps

will affect infrastructure demand.

Keep on top of industry trends and technology, both on the development

side and the more traditional IT side

Minimum Qualifications:

2 years in an IT System Administrator role directly supporting software development

Proven scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Ruby)

Experience administering both Windows and Linux servers

Familiarity with virtualization concepts

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to

communicate difficult technical concepts in a straight-forward, simple manner

Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment

Ability to maintain a calm demeanor when things are going wrong in order

to troubleshoot issues effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with continuous integration or continuous deployment

processes

Experience with source code repositories, automated deployment, and

automated testing (Bitbucket and Jenkins a plus)

Hands-on experience with virtualization, VMware or Hyper-V a plus Hands-on experience with cloud-based technologies, Azure a plus Experience with Chef Experience with Agile methodologies
