CIT Freight Invoice Specialist in Chicago, Illinois

This position's primary resonsibility is to support the AVP Fleet Operations in handling a high volume of freight bills received from Class I Railroads for movement of CIT-owned railcars. This involves obtaining bills from railroad websites, researching car moves, preparing and coding valid invoices for payment processing in accordance with CIT requirements, and disputing incorrect charges and bills. It also involves freight data tracking and reporting.
BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
Experience in an accounting or finance related position.
Knowledge of Rail industry preferred.
Analytic/able to exercise discretion and independent judgment and clearly communicate findings.
Ability to prepare and maintain reports and analysis in Excel, including knowledge of pivot tables and advanced formulas (vlookup, sumif, etc.).
Extraordinarily organized, able to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced organization.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels in the organization.
Team oriented and dependable.
