Advocate Construction is seeking motivated and hard-working Entry Level Outside Sales Trainees to join our growing team. The goal of this position is to prepare you for your own territory as a Sales Professional. Our sales team has been an essential part of Advocate Construction’s success over the last 5 years. Unlike the normal day-to-day sales positions available elsewhere, our Sales Trainees are the front line of defense in helping our homeowners through disaster recovery. We provide roof inspections and roof replacements, roof repairs, siding and gutters installation services and we remove the burden from our valued customers by managing the entire process.

In this position you will meet with homeowners on a daily basis by canvassing an assigned territory by foot and educating homeowners about what we offer and how we can bring their home back to pre-storm condition.

Training:

As an Entry Level Outside Sales Trainee, you will enroll in our individualized training program that will involve job shadowing with seasoned sales representatives as they visit clients and educate them on our process. The travel will vary based off your training territory. This field based training will assist in your education of our industry and solutions as well as allow you to observe the sales skills taught in the hands-on training.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Ability to build strong customer relationships

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Must be a self-starter with good time management skills

Below listed are some of the daily activates involved in your role:

  • Present a brief sales script in person at a customer’s door on consistent basis.

  • Consistent walking and canvasing of a territory, on foot and going door to door to meet new homeowners

  • Guide homeowners through the home insurance claim process

  • Schedule follow up appointments with homeowners

  • Provide excellent customer service by answering homeowner questions by phone and in person

  • Be available for work 40+ hours a week including Saturdays

    A successful Sales Representative will need to possess the following:

  • Ability to drive and obtain a Pick-up Truck or SUV (Or other vehicle appropriate for transporting construction equipment/materials)(Financial Assistance is available)

  • Submit to a background screening and be issued solicitors permits from local municipalities

  • Must be available for constant communication from your branch Manager and able to answer the phone or return phone calls during working hours.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Expected earning of $70,000 to over $100,000 in your first year, depending on your commitment and hard work (even if you don’t have previous experience)!
