Some expectations of the HR Associate position are:

  • Ability to evaluate and prepare cost benefit/best practice analyses regarding employee communication, engagement and turnover initiatives.

  • Serves as a point-of-contact for assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts. Listens to divisional/national committee/corporate department requests and suggests recommended solutions based on need.

  • Analyzes survey results to recommend strategic communication modifications to the business.

  • Maintains a thorough understanding of best-in-class employment practices and keeps the larger HR team up-to-date on employment trends.

  • Supports international ALDI Academy requests as required.

  • Maintains confidentiality and privacy of employee and company sensitive data.

  • Understands the overarching company strategy as well as communicates and models the core values of the organization among employees.

  • Performs general office support and administrative assistance as regularly required.

Job Related Expectations and Skills Needed

  • Associate’s Degree in a related field preferred or equivalent combination of years of experience and education.

  • Knowledge and ability to utilize software, report writing software, Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Knowledge of computer components and their function relative to the overall operations of personal computers.

  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret and/or apply ALDI administrative policies and procedures.

  • Skill in verbal and written communication.

  • Skill in performing basic arithmetic, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

  • Proficiency in 10-key data entry typing.

  • Ability to understand, reconcile and substantiate balances in associated General Ledger accounts.

  • Ability to follow instruction and give attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete tasks efficiently.

  • Ability to establish goals and work toward achievement.

  • Proficiency in SharePoint, Access Database and InfoPath preferred.

Job Specifications

Education Associates Degree in related field preferred and 3 years progressive experience or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

Hours
